Although the work of volunteers is not always properly acknowledged, we are aware that in reality it is one of the most important contributions to a cultural event. It is the volunteer who provides the first point of contact for each participant of the festival – and not only for the greeting on entering the festival building but also during all of the screenings and workshops, in the cloak room and in the festival café. To a large extent, the impression made on guests by the behaviour of the volunteers will impact on their general perception of the Festival. For that reason we are conscious of the importance of each volunteer and we treat them all with great respect; they have their rights but also their responsibilities!
