The leaders of our professional scriptwriting workshops are well-established in the industry. Many of them teach in film schools or deal professionally with the assessment of scripts in various institutions. Above all, they are industry professionals – a fact that allows them to share with the public not only theoretical information but also advice arising from their many years of experience. The workshops are illustrated by fragments of the films under review. It is possible as well to begin by a screening of the film which will provide a reference for the following lecture and practical exercises.

The scope of the workshop themes is broad – from a general elaboration on the very concept of a screenplay, through working with the specifics of technique (for instance character and plot development), to detailed analysis of the creative process of particular screenplays.

In order to offer an effective two-way communication between the workshop leader and the participants, we limited the amount of places. Therefore to take part in the professional workshops it is necessary to purchase a pass for the whole Festival or an individual ticket. The organizers provide the participants with all of the necessary material, like clipboard/mouse mat (?), block of paper, pencil, and most importantly director’s chair giving them, for a brief time, a feeling of being a famous screenplay writer or a director. All of these gadgets are adorned with the unique INTERSCENARIO logo making them also a valuable souvenir of the Festival. They will be available during and after the Festival in the INTERSCENARIO on-line shop on our website.
